Fact-checking Hackathon

The DIP project invites entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts and specialists, and software programmers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to join its first hackathon under the theme of fact-checking. Participants are expected to have innovative digital media ideas and solutions that can tackle disinformation, fake news, and hate speech or strengthen media literacy in the region.

If you think you have an entrepreneurial mindset and interest in digital media, this is your chance to enhance your skills, connect with a regional community of experts, and launch your scalable business idea to solve some of the most pressing challenges in the digital media sphere today.

The DIP project, funded by the EU International Partnerships, and implemented with DW Akademie and Elbiro Media Foundation, aims to strengthen social resilience against the growing threat of disinformation and promote peace in the digital, fast-evolving world of information.
